The next meeting of the Service Improvement & Finance Panel will take place at 1.30pm on Wednesday November 11th in Committee Room 6 (Guildhall).
Scrutiny Councillors will be looking at 3 main items on the agenda, this includes the mid year budget statement, Local Government Performance Report 2014/15 and an ICT update.
The mid year budget statement will be presented to the Panel by Ben Smith Chief Accountant. The statement will outline the current year financial performance together with an updated assessment of savings requirements over the period of the Medium Term Financial Plan. This will provide Panel members with a chance to consider the statement in more depth and will assist them to understand the latest position with regard to the budget 2015/16.
The tenth annual Local Government Performance Report contains information on the level and range of performance across Wales between 2014-15 on a number of service areas. Panel members will consider the performance results and use the information published to help inform their work plan.
The Panel will also receive an update on the progress to date of the procurement of Oracle Support from a 3rd party supplier.
