Councillors on the Health Social Care & Well Being Overview & Scrutiny Board are almost at the end of their challenge on the community capacity pillar which is part of the big transformation of adult social services project.
The Board meets on Tuesday 5th April and it will engage with Carol Green, Director of Swansea Council for Voluntary Services to understand more about the role of SCVS in improving the well being of adults in Swansea and how it works with the Council to achieve this. The Board will also consider a report on time banking which will contain a number of good practice examples.
The following day the councillors will head to Gorseinon Time Together and meet the Time Together Alliance in the morning and in the afternoon they will be back in the Civic Centre to meet with officers to see how they are developing community capacity in the west of Swansea to help improve the health and well-being of citzens.
The councillors are keen to finish their evidence gathering so that they can write their final report and bring it back to the Board at the end of April.
